Wang Duanting’s Short Biography
Wang Duanting is research fellow and chef at the Section of Foreign Arts of the Institute of Fine Arts of the Chinese National Academy of Arts, professor and doctoral student supervisor at the Department of Fine Arts of the Graduate School of the Chinese National Academy of Arts, member of the Committee of Experts of the National Research Center for Contemporary Art, the Western Returned Scholars Association and the Chinese Artists Association.
He graduated from Wuhan University in 1983, then studied as scholar of Chinese government at l’U.F.R d’Histoire de l’Art et Archeologie de l’Université de Paris I “Panthéon-Sorbonne” (1997—1998), and il Dipartimento di Storia dell’Arte della Facoltà di Lettere e Filosofia della l’Università degli Studi di Roma I “la Sapianza” (2002—2003, 2010 and 2018).
He has published 20 books on the western art history and Chinese contemporary art, including Contemporary Art, Abstract Painting (translations), Raymond Georgein, Post-Impressionism, Cubism, School of Paris, A Short History of Western Art, From Modernism to Post-Modernism，Sandro Trotti，New Realism and Transavanguardia, and more than 300 articles.
