Talent Training

The education department of the Chinese Academy of Oil Painting is dedicated to investigating the universal questions of inheriting tradition, experiencing nature and comprehending life, in pursuit of pure artistic principles and values, bottom-up reform and strengthened study of oil painting’s ontologically unique expressiveness. It seeks an approach in this diverse cultural landscape that combines East and West, classics and modernity, reason and emotion, in order to create high-quality works of art embodying the zeitgeist and sincere national emotions and advance the healthy development of Chinese oil painting. The education department of the Academy provides a platform for artists to create their ideal learning environment, discover new talents, and train the future generation. Such an environment can advocate the inheritance and study of tradition, respect and passion for nature, understanding of life and human nature, and pursuit of truth, good, and beauty, discovering a path for development of Chinese oil painting on the basis of art and life.
