艺术的发展需要不同声音相互碰撞，在交流激励中成长。为此，中国油画院每年会针对院内的展览活动及课题，邀请国内不同学术领域的有深入思考和研究的艺术家、学者、艺评家等进行主题性的深入研讨交流，旨在探讨和解决面临的新问题，突破个人的思维局限，进行开放式的对话和讨论。以加强中国油画院与外界的交流，促进学术的全面成长。
Artistic development requires the collision of different perspectives and thrives on vigorous dialogue. To this end, each year the Academy invites domestic artists, scholars and critics conducting in-depth research on a variety of fields to participate in thematic discussions centered around the Academy’s exhibits and study topics. These discussions are aimed at exploring and resolving new issues, overcoming limits in personal thinking, and conducting open dialogue and debate, in order to strengthen the exchange between the Academy and the outside world and promote overall academic growth.
